Elkhart County Commissioners have given their approval to a plan that would build a new RV inspection facility.

The zoning request, approved Monday, would re-purpose 70 acres of land along CR 6 east of CR 19, southeast of the RV-Mobile Home Hall of Fame.

The property would be rezoned from agricultural to heavy business.

The new facility would provide quality control inspections for RV makers before those vehicles are shipped out to customers.
