Bethel University’s Athletic Department has announced that they’ve formed an Esports team that will begin competing next fall.

More than 170 colleges and universities currently offer Esports, an organized multiplayer videogame league.

Bethel and the City of South Bend are teaming up to provide the team with a dedicated practice room with a state-of-the-art LAN connection.

A 600-seat Esports arena will be installed at Century Center. A $2 million renovation will create the space for competitions.
