Mishawaka Police investigating Tuesday afternoon shooting

Mishawaka Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 4400 block of Hickory Road around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

St. Joseph County dispatch confirms that one person was shot at the Hickory Village Apartments.

Officials confirm that a man was found in a hallway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. That victim was taken to Memorial Hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

The suspect was not located at the and was still at large as of 3:30 pm. on Tuesday, according to Mishawaka Police.

Police say they believe there is no immediate threat to the community.
