Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has been honored for her strong support of national service.

At a ceremony in Washington DC Tuesday, Walorski received the Congressional Service Award from the Voices for National Service Coalition. The group says it was in appreciation of her remarkable commitment to national service as a strategy to solve local issues and build stronger, healthier communities.

Walorski encouraged Americans across the country to keep finding ways to give back, get involved, and serve.

There were honorees from government, business and journalism recognized for their work at the event.
