Authorities are issuing a reminder to stay off of ice for safety reasons during the warm spell in Michiana.

The Mishawaka Police Department has received reports of children playing on icy ponds and some areas along the river.

The police department asks that everyone step up to keep children and others away from the ponds and waterways and off the ice.
