As Michigan prepares for their Presidential Primary Election next week, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says the state’s vote is more secure than ever, but results will take a little longer to be reported.
Benson says that despite efforts to meddle in elections on a national level, Michigan’s system has never been more secure, thanks to efforts that will be ongoing through the General Election in November.
She also says thanks to those new measures, and an 80% increase in applications for absentee ballots, Michigan’s votes will take longer to count this year.
