ISDH: 6,900+ confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indiana

The Indiana State Department of Health announced on Friday, April 10, that 568 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories.

That brings to 6,907 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 300 Hoosiers have died to date. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

Locally, the curve is beginning to flatten in St. Joseph County. That, from the latest statistics from local health department leaders. Confirmed COVID-19 cases are at 165 in St. Joseph County, 61 cases in Elkhart County, 31 cases in LaPorte County, 17 cases in Kosciusko County and 12 cases in Marshall County.

To date, 35,040 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 32,133 on Friday.
