Berrien County officials say they are expanding their capability to test people for COVID-19.

People who wouldn’t have qualified before can now be tested thanks to new equipment and additional supplies. There are several testing sites in use and a mobile unit that travels throughout the county.

Until recently testing in Berrien County was reserved for people who were showing severe symptoms, hospitalized under suspicion of the virus, and others who were considered at high-risk.
