Repeat convicted molester to spend less than one-third of sentence behind bars

An Elkhart man has received a 36-year sentence after admitting to child molestation.

Frank Alliy, 52, s a repeat offender, having been convicted in the past for attempted sexual battery in the State of Florida. That crime involved incidents with a victim under age 12 that happened between 1985 and 1986.

This time, the victim was a girl under the age of 13.

Alliy pleaded guilty.

The Elkhart Truth reports he won’t spend all 36 years in prison. A total of 16 years is suspended and another 10 years will be spent on reporting probation, leaving 10 years of actual prison time.
