An 18 year-old man is safe after driving into a pond.

The young man was found walking around Edison Lakes Parkway and Park Place confused Saturday morning.

Police say he was either on his phone or fell asleep at the wheel earlier that morning, causing himself to drive through wooden railing into a pond. He was able to get out of his Jeep before it sank.

A dive team searched the pond to make and didn’t find anyone else.
