Two people were arrested and a handgun was seized during a traffic stop on U.S. 20 near 350 East in LaPorte County.
The arrests were made around 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, after police stopped the vehicle, which they say was traveling 100 miles per hour, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
During the stop, deputies discovered a loaded firearm in the vehicle.
The driver, 20-year-old Ankoma Kirk, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of felon in possession of a firearm, obliterating identifying marks on a firearm, reckless driving and operating while never licensed.
The passenger, 20-year-old Ladericka Banks, was taken into custody for a preliminary charge of minor consumption of alcohol.

Lovely couple. Im sure it was all a big misunderstanding by the police. How dare them arrest black people for breaking the law. Something will probaly be set on fire now.
Clearly this was just a case of “driving while black”, darn those racist cops!
