Bizarre chase in Elkhart County leads to the arrest of 25 year old man

Nicholas Schult stands accused of stealing a motorcycle and running from police when they tried to pull him over last week.

The chase lasted about 14 miles after an officer ran his plates at an intersection and they came back as stolen. According to court documents the chase started in Bristol at South Division and Vistula St, and during the chase he made “obscene gestures” at police and even threw his sandal at a squad car.

When they were eventually able to stop and arrest him he challenged the arresting officer to a fight.
