A woman has been charged in the June 13 shooting death of a 17 year-old at the Beacon Heights Apartments.

Kristy Lynn Hawkins, 38, was charged Friday in the death of Allen Williams.

Police were called to the Curtiss Drive location after reports of shots fired, and found the victim unresponsive at the scene. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

Witnesses told police that an argument had happened between Hawkins and another woman. During the argument Hawkins allegedly went to her car and returned with a gun, which she began firing, striking Williams.

Hawkins is due in court on June 22.
