Three people killed in crash on State Road 19 in Peru

Three people are dead after a crash in Peru. Indiana State Police responded to State Road 19 at around 11:55 a.m. on Friday, June 26.

Douglas Clinkenbeard, 53, was driving on the road when he suddenly traveled off the road, over corrected and crossed the center line, hitting another car.

Clinkenbeard, who was ejected, died at the scene.

The other driver, Nicholas Miller, 31, and his passenger, Paige Williamson, 18, also died at the scene.

Clinkenbeard was the only one not wearing a seat belt.
