Governor Whitmer has signed an executive order that requires mask use in all indoor public spaces across the state.
The governor signed the “Mask Up, Michigan!” order Friday morning, which also requires the use of face coverings in crowded outdoor spaces. Most significantly the order requires any business open to the public to refuse entry or service to people who refuse to wear a face covering, with limited exceptions.
Those exemptions include children under the age of five, those with medical conditions that bar them from wearing a mask, and anyone eating or drinking while seated in a restaurant.
Five other states have imposed similar requirements on businesses. She said she signed the order in response to a rise in COVID-19 cases in both Michigan and across the country.
Violators face a $500 fine. The order goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, July 13.

Is she getting people ready for berka’s? Why are you so determined to protect me from myself? And no if you have your face covered and are bathing in sanitizer me not wearing a mask has no effect on you or you’re admitting masks don’t work which is it you can’t have it both ways they either protect or they don’t.
Looks like another law suit will be coming. She has no athority to force private business owners to enforce or pay employees to put themselves in danger enforcing her exectutive orders. And without compensation. It is not the publics duty to be her enforcers.
Here you go folks. The lady tyrant is at it again. I thought she wanted to defund the police. Yet she is going to have to have more “mask police” to enforce this executive order. Tell me again how President Trump is a tyrant!!!
Absolutely unreal. Folks, we live in a real life Twilight Zone. New survey out just yesterday said that 40% less residents than one month ago believe it’s a problem. The cat is out of the bag. People have realized that it’s a nothingburger and it’s all political at this point.
Are all the beach goers required to wear a mask. That’s the largest gathering of sweaty people. Covid incubator. You’re safer in Walmart with no mask or sanitizer. She needs to shut down the large gatherings rather than a few minutes in a store.
The mask thing is Marshal Law!! What will she do next? Only allow the Traverse City area where she has property to be exempt?
The UP has only a few cases and never should have shut down!!!!!
4 about 3 months she has halted evictions, now until July 15th. i own a couple of small apartments and my teneants are being told they don’t have to pay rent cause they can’t be evicted. I have to pay the utilities and all expenses. That means that a people who were behind in rent,possibly a few months plus the non eviction notice of about 3 months are forcing owners to go out of business. Doesn’t she know we have to live, too?

So how does it feel to live under a socialist Michigan? You have a beautiful state and this poor excuse of a governor is doing her best to take all you people down. Vote “it” out when “it” runs for re-election again unless of course you people enjoy being under socialist rule. I think the majority of you are smarter then this, but if you re-elect “it” next time then you are as stupid as “it” is and you deserve what happens to you.
