A new study ranked Michigan very high in terms of having a quick recovery from COVID-19.

In fact, The Great Lakes State sits at the top of the list of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The updated rankings from Wallethub show consistent job growth in recent weeks across the country, but say the recent surge in coronavirus cases could threaten that.

The rankings are based on the changes in unemployment claims in each state. Indiana ranked 34th in the study, which also suggested that the virus has wiped out all of the job gains since the Great Recession.
