A South Bend daycare operator accused of allowing children to fight inside her home has pleaded not guilty.
Tysharae Jones faces three charges, including neglect of a dependent and battery involving a child under 14.
Investigators say an 11-year-old attacked two younger children, ages five and six, in June.
Court documents allege Jones failed to intervene and instead encouraged one of the children involved.
State officials are investigating the incident, and the daycare’s business registration remains active.
Jones is scheduled for another court hearing November fifth.
