Search warrant yields drugs, stolen handgun in Chikaming Township

One man was arrested during a narcotics search in Chikaming Township last Friday.

During the search, Michael McNair Jr., 71, was located outside of the house. He was the target of the investigation.

Inside the home, police found 60 grams of cocaine, approximately half an ounce of fentanyl and several bags of an unknown powder.

There was also a hand gun that was reported stolen out of Iowa and other narcotic trafficking evidence.

McNair was arrested and booked into the Berrien County Jail on the following charges:

  • Possession with intent to deliver Cocaine
  • Possession with intent to deliver Fentanyl
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime
