She’s a member of Governor Holcomb’s cabinet…but Friday she endorsed his opponent.

Republican Jennifer McCormick, the Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, has endorsed Democrat Dr. Woody Myers in the race for governor.

The Indy Star reports that she cited Myers’ intellect, concern and commitment to education as her reasons for breaking ranks.

McCormick has endorsed several Democrats this month, including candidates for Attorney General and three seats in the legislature.

I believe she stated a day or two ago she was still a Republican. I doubt that she will be getting any GOP candidate planning sessions anytime soon.
