It’s Elkhart County health leaders against mosquitoes as Eastern Equine Encephalitis is making its presence known, once again, in Michiana.

To be proactive ahead of a small number of cases in LaPorte, LaGrange, and Kosciusko counties, Elkhart County plans to spray against mosquitoes on Tuesday night, Sep. 22, at dusk.

Residents are advised to protect ornamental fish ponds and bee hives.

Organic farms registered on Field Watch won’t be sprayed.
