The Community Foundation of Elkhart County has received a Lilly Endowment Grant.

The Foundation has received a $200,000 Community Leadership Grant as part of the latest phase of the endowment’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow initiative.

The grant will allow for the continued planning of a new and improved Tolson Center and Park. The planning process has resulted in a collaboration between the city, the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, and the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce to move forward with an $11 million project to rebuild and upgrade the center with the help of generous donors.
