Dowagiac man injured after crash with bus on M-62

A Dowagiac man was injured after a two vehicle traffic crash on M-62 and Brownsville Street in Jefferson Township.

The collision happened around 12:39 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, when a small bus being driven by a South Bend man failed to yield right of way to another vehicle being driven by a 64-year-old Dowagiac man.

The bus driver was trying to cross M-62 and pulled in front of Dowagiac man’s vehicle, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The Dowagiac man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. The bus driver  was not hurt.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
