One killed, another injured in early morning Benton Harbor shooting

One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Benton Harbor early Friday morning.

Police were called to the 700 block of East Napier Avenue, at Barrick Village Apartments, around 2 a.m. on reports of the shooting.

There they found one man with multiple gunshot wounds. ABC 57 News reports he was taken to the hospital and was rushed into surgery.

Another man was driven to the hospital by friends but was pronounced dead a short time later.

No suspect information has been provided at this time, but witnesses told police they saw the two victims arrive at the apartment complex and later run out from behind two buildings while gunfire erupted.
