Results for La Porte’s 2020 Click It or Ticket enforcement have been released.

During the month of November, officers wrote a total of 14 citations for seat belt violations.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that while Indiana’s seat belt usage rate continues to be above the national average, more than half of the people who were killed in motor vehicle crashes last year were not buckled up.

La Porte City Police was one of more than 200 Indiana law enforcement agencies that took part in this year’s Click It or Ticket campaign. Although the zero-tolerance mobilization is over, daily seat belt enforcement continues.
