A 27-year-old man was shot and killed at Briarwood Apartments in Benton Township.

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the parking lot.

Officers received a call about a fight between two men that led to shots fired.

The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

There was no immediate word about any suspects or arrests.
