Vice President Mike Pence is heading home after he’s swept out of office by the inauguration of the new administration.
A small group of about 50 invitees will welcome the outgoing VP and former Indiana Governor when he arrives back at his home town of Columbus around 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Bartholomew County GOP Chairwoman.
Before leaving D.C. the VP will attend the inauguration, but is not attending Trump’s farewell speech. Pence tweeted Tuesday afternoon his thanks for “the privilege of serving as your Vice President” for the past four years, calling it “the greatest honor” of his life.
Thank you for the privilege of serving as your Vice President these past four years, it has been the greatest honor of my life. On behalf of our Wonderful Second Lady, Karen Pence, and our entire Family, Thank You and God Bless America. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/chbcBfvmB9

You do know that you’ll be up against the wall with the rest of us when the time comes.
Oh, and your vote doesn’t matter anymore either. You can (and will) be ignored by the people in charge from now on.
