Sunday night snow could lead to slippery Monday morning drive

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

(Maci Tetrick/ABC 57 Meteorologist) The snow that began to fall on Sunday night could lead to a slippery drive on Monday morning.

Our northern half primarily saw snow, while our southern half received more of a wintry mix (since temperatures are above freezing again).

Areas north were expected to pick up 1-3” of snow by Monday morning. Lower totals (an inch or less) were expected for our southern half, along with the possibility of slick spots in these areas with the combination of snow and sleet. It may be a good idea to head out the door a little earlier for some extra drive time. A few snow showers could linger into early Monday morning.

The work week looks pretty quiet, other than a few showers possible during the day Wednesday. Temperatures are warming this week – we’ll be in the mid 30s and possibly near 40 Tuesday and Wednesday.

Monday: Few AM snow showers, slick. Mostly cloudy and breezy. High 36.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy and breezy. High 40.
