Man wanted for murder in Elkhart arrested in Tennessee

A man wanted for a murder in Elkhart has been arrested in Tennessee.

Darius Thomas, 26, of Middlebury, was wanted for the death of Shamar Barnes, 19.

Police say Thomas shot Barnes in the chest at a Marathon station on South Main Street back on February 5.

Thomas was arrested for murder on Thursday, March 4, at a motel in Memphis.
