Michigan foursome wins $1.05 billion in lottery

Four people in a lottery club in Michigan won a Mega Millions jackpot worth just over a billion dollars.

The four winners, in suburban Detroit, selected the lump sum payment after the January 22 drawing. After taxes they’ll share $557 million.

The names of the winners have not been released, but a spokesperson said they will pay it forward with charitable work in Southeast Michigan.

The $1.05 billion jackpot was the largest in Michigan Lottery history, and the third largest in the U.S.

I wonder how much charity work they did before winning. The money paid in taxes is ridiculous. Think about taxes collected on every lottery winning ever! Yet we still have trillions in national debt!!

America doesn’t have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem!

Or more accurately, we have 535 problems spending our money in DC alone!
