A cannabis festival is being planned for later this year in Niles.
It’s the kind of festival that The City of Four Flags has never seen before, according to WSBT. Some are calling it a “mini-Woodstock”, and some say it’s a great opportunity for the community’s economy that could draw thousands to Riverfront Park.
The possible festival was first presented to the city several months ago and would be two days long. There would be camping, live music, food and pot venders and more.
One of the major concerns is security, and making sure the city gets everything right is one of the reasons why the original target date of July is being moved to September.
The plans have been getting a lot of attention in the marijuana community.

Have u guys thought of the few people that can’t be around it because of being allergic to thc like me the last time I was around it when I was 18 I was in icu fighting for my life cause I had a serve allergic reaction to it didn’t know I was allergic to it till then I live and fish in Niles and on my weekends and am always down my the river bank fishing of shore or in my kayak so I was just wondering if anyone thought about that of people that can’t be around it if it happens hopefully it’s on my the river at all
So, by your logic Becky, all bee’s must be exterminated, corn must be eradicated before it’s made into corn syrup, because they have put people in the ICU. It is up to the one with the medical condition to not put ones self in jeopardy. It’s not like “Surprise”, and suddenly there’s a festival, you have time to plan accordingly.
