Benton Harbor man found guilty of second degree murder in 2019 shooting death of his girlfriend

Yesterday, a jury found 23-year-old Marion Perry Jr. of Benton Harbor guilty of second degree murder in the November 2019 shooting death of his girlfriend, 19-year-old Uniqua Vera-Anne Jones.

She was found shot in the Blossom Acres Apartments in Benton Harbor and later died at the hospital.

Perry Jr. had previously pleaded guilty to Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm. He faces a minimum of 27 years in prison. He’s due to be sentenced in June.
