Governor Eric Holcomb will be in South Bend on Tuesday, May 4, for a ceremonial signing of the Class III Gaming Compact with the Pokagon Band Of Potawatomi.
It’s the state’s pledge not to add casinos in 16 northern Indiana counties, as part of a deal with the Native American-run casino in South Bend.
It allows the Four Winds Casino to add table games.
The deal gives Indiana an eight-percent cut of the casino’s income, and South Bend a two-percent cut. In exchange, the state promises a 50-mile buffer zone with no new competing casinos.
The governor will deliver remarks and complete the ceremonial signing at 2 p.m. at Howard Park.

I like how the “free market” GOP is so quick to hand out monopolies as long as they get their 8% cut…
SO true
