The Marshall County Sheriff`s Department responded to a one vehicle accident on the 3200 block of Plymouth/LaPorte Trail on Monday around 11 p.m. in Walkerton.

The driver was identified as Andrew Mitchell, according to the department.

The investigation by police determined Chevy Malibu, Mitchell was driving, had left the road and struck a tree.

Over a pound of Marijuana and 7.7 grams of Methamphetamine was found close to the vehicle.

Mitchell was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, a Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony, according to the authorities.
