Competency hearing set for New Carlisle teen

A competency hearing has been set for July for a New Carlisle teen accused of child molestation and murder in the March 12 death of 6-year-old Grace Ross.

The teen was back in court on Monday as evaluations continue to determine if he is competent to stand trail.

Prosecutors say they want to see the results of the phycological and competency exams before deciding on whether to have the 14-year-old tried as an adult.

Grace Ross was found dead outside of her apartment complex back in March. Officials say the autopsy results showed she died of asphyxiation.
