The use of force policy for the South Bend Police Department has been approved by the South Bend Board of Public Safety yesterday.

According to WNDU, the policy states that an officer shall use de-escalation tactics to reduce any need for force.

The use of force policy comes after two years of conversations and town hall meetings.

“the policy states that an officer shall use de-escalation tactics to reduce any need for force.”

I’m pretty sure the police were already doing this right up to the point that they had no choice.

How about you knuckleheads make a “obey lawful commands and you won’t get shot” policy for the criminals?
