Three people were injured in a crash in Cass County early Friday morning.

Officers were called to M-51 and Edwards Street in Pokagon Township just before 2:30 on reports of the collision.

It was revealed a vehicle traveling along Edwards Street disregarded a stop sign at the M-51 intersection, instead, pulling out in front of a northbound vehicle.

The vehicle at-fault fled the scene, but was later located, unoccupied, in front of a home in the 31,000 block of Edwards Street.

Meantime, the driver of the other vehicle, and two passengers, were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. No word on the extent of their injuries at this time.

It’s unknown if alcohol and drugs were factors in the crash, as it’s still being investigated.

Anyone who has information regarding this crash is asked to call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at (269) 445-2481.
