One person was pulled from a car fire on South Bend’s South Side on Monday afternoon.

A witness told 953 MNC that they saw people scrambling out of a car that caught fire on Ireland Road, and one person had to be pulled out of the vehicle.

Everyone appeared to make it to safety and the burning car impacted traffic while crews worked the scene.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
