Names released of suspects arrested after SWAT standoff in Mishawaka

We now know the names of the five people arrested in connection with a SWAT stand-off in Mishawaka on Tuesday, July 27.

It started as the South Bend Police Strategic Focus Unit and Mishawaka Police Department were looking for an individual wanted on a warrant in the 700 block of Lincoln Way West. The wanted person was seen leaving a home with another individual, both appeared to be armed. That’s when police approached, and both took off. One person was quickly apprehended and the other retreated into an apartment home.

At the end of the stand-off, five people were arrested and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.

  • Randall Thurman was arrested for his Federal Warrant for a Weapons Offense. State charges are also pending.
  • Cameron Perkins was arrested for Carrying a Handgun Without a License and Resisting Law Enforcement.
  • Rachel Stuff was arrested for her Warrant for Neglect of a Dependent.
  • Tommy Rans was arrested for his Warrant for Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident and Conversion.

and…Imani Wilson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

In addition to the arrests, officers also recovered two handguns and drug related evidence.
