Slide the Hill at George Wilson Park returns in August, with some changes to the event.

The biggest change for Slide the Hill is now anyone planning to attend will have to register for a three-hour session taking place August 14 through August 15.

In 2019, over 3,000 people attended the inaugural event, which also provided challenged such as parking and inflatable tube shortages.

This year officials are asking that patrons bring their own pool tubes to minimize delays. However, no hard tubes are allowed.

Anyone wanting to slide down the hill or to watch must register for $5 per person at: Mishawaka Rec Desk.

• Session 1 – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Special needs and pre-school age children with parents.

• Session 2 – 6 to 9 p.m. – All ages
