Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is looking into an Indiana college’s ties with an alleged Chinese propaganda program.

Rokita is launching an investigation into Valparaiso University’s association with the Confucius Institutes, which allegedly functions as a propaganda of the Chinese Communist Party.

Which has operated in Indiana for years.

Specifically Rokita wants to look into possible violations of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and Indiana’s Deceptive Consumer Sales Act.

The university has received more than $1.1-million from the Chinese government between 2010 and 2019.

Though, there’s been no indication on how that money was used.
