Two arrested after police chase in Elkhart ends in Mishawaka

Elkhart police arrested two people after they fled in their vehicle with a juvenile in the back seat.

Police tried to make a traffic stop on a car on Bypass Road, just after 7:30 Sunday night.

According to officers, the car finally came to a stop near the area of Hollingshead and Strohm drives in Mishawaka.

There the passenger ran from the car while the driver stayed in the vehicle.

Police located the passenger, 33-year-old Julian Crow and was taken into custody on warrants.

ABC-57 reports that officers located a child in the back seat of the car and was not injured.

The driver, 30-year-old Courtney Bartell was also arrested for resisting law enforcement and neglect of a dependent.
