Shooting outside of a Niles apartment

Imagine stepping outside to find bullet holes in your car, your home and other property…

That’s what happened in Niles after a shooting at the North Niles Villa Apartments on Fifth Street.

On Monday, the police were called around 2:45 a.m., but by the time they got there, the suspects had left.

Three bullet holes were found in car and another shot went into an air conditioning unit.

Leader Publications reports no injuries.

So far, there’s no word of any suspects or arrests.

It’s the third reported shooting in the city within a week’s time.
