Purdue’s women’s basketball head coach is being investigated for “creating a toxic and hostile environment.”

Sharon Versyp is accused of creating a “toxic and hostile environment,” by verbally attacking players, using personal info to “bring them down,” and “bullying” a member of her coaching staff.

The Journal & Courier obtained the two-page document from the university’s Office of Institutional Equity, which is trying to determine if Versyp violated the school’s anti-harassment policy.

Versyp is already set to retire, as this upcoming basketball season will be her 16th and final one at Purdue, before Katie Geralds takes over for the 2022-23 season. Geralds, the former head coach at Marian University in Indianapolis and a Purdue University alum, is currently the associate head coach.
