11th annual Great Cardboard Boat Race set for Friday

The 11th Annual Great Cardboard Boat Race will take place on Friday.

Area companies will race against each other in boats that were constructed from duct tape and cardboard.

All to show their support for the Crossroads United Way’s fundraising efforts.

Friday, around 35 teams will attempt to set sail on LaSalle Bristol’s pond on County Road 17 in Elkhart.

The event is open to the public and begins at 11 a.m. with the boat race starting at 3 p.m.

Over the last 10 years, the boat races have raised almost $75,000 for Crossroads United Way.
