For the third consecutive Goshen Common Council meeting, residents used the public comment period to either air their grievances or plead for acceptance following the city’s Pride Week back in July.

This time, some of the speakers aimed their ire at elected officials who have spoken in support of their LBGT constituents.

Many referenced a youth drag show that was on the schedule for Pride Week but never actually took place.

Goshen City leaders were at a loss.

Mayor Jeremy Stutsman asked the speakers what they expected them to do.

One woman replied “protect children,” and expressed fears about Antifa and pedophiles before asking for some sort of enforcement.

The Elkhart Truth reports Councilman Curt Nisley said they cannot make laws up that target certain groups of people.

Homosexuality and pedophilia are not the same thing. How come the Goshen Council takes comments against a youth drag show and try to apply them to the gay community as a whole?
