Hoosier Lottery officials say they transferred a record $375.5-million to the state of Indiana during the fiscal year of 2021, which ended June 30.

The Hoosier Lottery commission says the transfer is nearly $71-million over last year, an increase of 23%.

The lottery says a record $1.3-billion in scratch-off ticket sales made up a majority of Hoosier Lottery’s $1.7-billion in total revenue.

$30-million of those revenues are going to local police and firefighters’ pensions.

Another $30-million will be going to the state’s Teachers’ Retirement Fund.
