Governor Holcomb has extended Indiana’s public health emergency over the COVID pandemic.

It’s the 18th time Holcomb has extended the emergency order.

The extensions allows Indiana to continue to receive federal funds and other assets to respond to COVID-19.

The declaration will now last until September 30.

Over 2,900 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID on Monday, and just under 14,000 Hoosiers have died from COVID since the pandemic started.

There are currently 2,200 Hoosiers in the hospital with the virus.
