Two drivers who police say they clocked driving in excess of 100 miles per hour on State Road 2 in LaPorte County have been cited.

It happened on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 7.

The two were driving side-by-side, according to deputies who stopped both vehicles.

Steven Allen, 56, was cited for exceeding the speed limit and was issued a summons to appear in court for speed contest and reckless driving.

Rafael Jimenez Jr, 24, was cited for exceeding the speed limit and was issued a summons to appear in court for speed contest, reckless driving and driving while suspended.
