Elkhart man tied up and robbed in nearby woods

Elkhart Police say a man was tied up and robbed in a wooded area early Saturday morning.

Shortly after midnight, officers were called to a motel in the 3300 block of Plaza Court for reports of a robbery.

The victim said he had gone across the street to another motel in the 3400 block of Cassopolis Street when two males came out of the woods, then robbed him.

According to ABC-57 News, the victim stated the two males escorted him down a trail into a wooded area. Then tied his hands behind his back and took several items from him including his cell phone and some cash.

There has been no arrests made yet.
