The Humane Society of Elkhart County shelter is quickly filling up, and in need of help.

The shelters says they’ve been swamped with people bringing in strays and lost animals. The shelter has devoted an entire page on its website just to “found” animals.

40 animals in all, from dogs to cats to guinea pigs. Each animal has a picture, description and ID number.

They want to reunite owners with their lost pets, but just as important, they need to free up space in the shelter.

In addition, the shelter has new adoption rates: for just $25 you can take home a dog or cat, as part of a special running through the end of the month.
